Dad’s can make all the difference when it comes to getting some shut-eye after a new baby

EXCERPT: SLEEPLESS nights are a rite of passage for new parents but what if there was another way? A Melbourne paediatrician, Dr Daniel Golshevsky, made an absolutely wonderful suggestion this week: dads should take the lead on resettling babies from the get go.

He suggests putting the bassinet on the non-breastfeeding parent’s side of the bed from the very first night at home so dads become the go-to parent whenever the baby is not hungry.  It’s not just exhausted mums cheering on Dr Daniel, there is a lot of science behind the suggestion.
